Rose Marie Smith Obituary

Rose Marie Smith, 86, of Hamburg, passed away Wednesday, January 15th, at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown.
 
Rose was born in Lititz, PA on January 24, 1938, a daughter of the late Agnes (Gockley) and Aaron Wanner and the widow of Irving Smith who passed in 2012.
 
 Known by many as “Gram,” Rose was the maternal guiding light of the family. She was the rock everyone could lean on. She was the gathering place we call home. While she was able, she loved doing puzzles, coloring, reading and mostly spending time with all her “kids.” More recently, she was a big fan of watching lifetime network television, but spending time with family was always number one.
 
Rose is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Thompson; her sons, Milton L. Smith Sr., and James E. Fryberger; her daughter in law Beverley Fryberger, and step daughters, Bonnie L. Ritter, Barbara L. Miller, Brenda L. Rossi and step son Brian L. Smith;.
 
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Milton Smith Jr. and fiancée Amber Kelley; Joe Slimick, and Rose Thompson.
 
Also her great grandchildren; Trayton, Cailyn, Oliver, Josephine, and Charlotte.
 
She was predeceased by sisters; Grace Heisey, Violet Steffey, Ella Evangelista, Alma Alexander and brothers; Paul Wanner, John Wanner and David Wanner.
 
She will be interred with her late husband Irving at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Thursday, January 23rd at 1 PM. Procession to cemetery will leave funeral home promptly at 11:30 AM.
