Rita F. Turrisi Kline

Rita F. (Schleifenheimer) Turrisi Kline, formerly of Reading and Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. She was a resident of Spang Crest Nursing Home, Lebanon, PA.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Marie R. (Ott) Schleifenheimer. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Douglas Kline on August 16, 2007, and by her first husband, Anthony Turrisi on February 10, 1959. She was also predeceased by her sister, Joan Schleifenheimer in 1937.

Rita was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church and its Holy Family Society in Reading, PA. Also she was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School, Class of 1952.

Surviving are her daughters, Lynda R., wife of Steven V. Wolfe, Leola, PA and Jennifer (Ginger) Kline, Lebanon, PA. Also, 2 granddaughters, Lauren M., wife of Braden Overman, Windsor VA and Ariel R., wife of Serge Sarandinaki, Alexandria, VA and a great grandson, Caiden E. Overman. Other survivors are her sisters, Jean R., wife of Clarence Emerich and Ann M., widow of Charles Wagner, Sr.

Rita was employed by Bell Telephone Co., Reading, as a supervisor. She was then employed in retail for approximately 20 years. She also worked at St. Joseph's Medical Center as a telephone operator for 8 1/2 years, retiring on April 4, 1998.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 151 N 9th Street, Reading PA on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10 AM. A viewing will be at St. Paul's R.C. Church from 9 Am until; time of service. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Laureldale, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to St. Paul's R.C. Church at the above address.
