Richard L. Ramsey, 86, of Reading, passed away Sunday, November 10th, at Reading Hospital-Tower Health, West Reading.
Richard was born in Birdsboro on March 8, 1938, a son of the late Ruth L. (Doll) and George C. Ramsey, Sr.
He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a plumber at Local Union #690 Philadelphia for 50 years. He was a former member of Birdsboro Sportsman Club, Pikeville Rod & Gun Club and Meadowbrook Country Club.
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Donna, wife of Craig Beaver, of Rehobeth Beach, DE; and Denise, wife of David Martin, of Mt. Penn; two sons, Richard L. Ramsey Jr., husband of Rebekah, of Locust Grove, VA; Brad M. Ramsey, of Mt. Penn and sister, Cheryl Shucker, of Blandon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, DeeDee Owens, brothers, Gene Ramsey, George C. Ramsey, Jr. and companion Nancy Messersmith
Viewing will be Thursday, November 14th from 10 to 11 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Mt. Penn.
