Regina M. Cardiff, age 96 years, of Reading, formerly of Johnstown, passed away Monday, October 12th at the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township. She lived in Johnstown for most of her life, living in Reading for the last decade to be near her brother, William.
Regina was born in Johnstown on February 28, 1919, a daughter of the late Margaret T. (Sweeney) and Richard D. Cardiff.
She graduated from Johnstown High School and attended professional trade school for accounting.
She was employed as an accountant at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown, and later at Schearer Oil Company, Johnstown.
She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Moxham.
Regina was kind to animals and really loved her best friend and dog "Laddie."
Regina is survived by her brother, William J. Cardiff of Reading and extended family.
Regina was predeceased by her parents and five siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Reading, on Thursday, October 22nd at 10 a.m. Private burial will take place in St. John Gualbert Roman Catholic Cemetery, Johnstown.
