Ralph H. Hess, 91, of Shillington, PA, passed away Thursday, November 23rd at Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading. Born in Reading, PA on October 18, 1926, he was a son of the late Irene (Gross) and Clarence Hess. He was the husband of Lena M. (Gorman) Hess.
He served in the U.S. Army in WW II in the Pacific Theatre. He worked in sales at Friedman Express for 50 years, retiring 1993. During his life, Ralph served as president of the Traffic Club and was named Person of Year in 1993. After retirement, he was employed by the Reading Phillies.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Lena; a daughter, Barbara A, wife of Thomas Hagan, of Reading, PA;two sons: James William Lord, of Phoenix, AZ; and Mark Allen, husband of Theresa Lord, of Schyukill Haven, PA; a sister, Myrtle Corwin, of Cumru Twp.; and a brother, William Hess, of Wyomissing Hills, PA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
Ralph was predeceased by 5 siblings: Rodney, Earl, Clarence, Elizabeth, and Louise.

A public viewing will be held 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, November 28 at John P. Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service follows at 10:30 Am. Internment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA at 12:30PM.
