Catherine A. Kehs, 66, of Sinking Spring, passed away after a battle with cancer on Thursday, December 29th, while in the company of family members, at Jefferson
Medical Center, Philadelphia. Catherine was born in Lewiston, ME, daughter of Dorothy Douglass, of West Lawn, PA and the late Harry C. Douglass. She was the widow of Anthony H. Kehs Jr. who died in 2014. Catherine is survived by a loving son, Hunter D. Kehs, partner of Keith Chamberlain, of Sinking Spring, and sister, Susan, wife of Jack Potter, of Rehoboth, MA. Brother, Marc Douglass passed on January 2, 2023. Partner, George M. Arentz and Cathy shared their recent years together. Cathy is also survived by step daughter, Erika L., wife of Lance Tarnoski, of Muhlenberg Twp., and their children, Jaxon and Gavin. A graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1974, she worked as a silk screener with Grafika Printing, Sinking Spring, for 30 years and later at GMI First Inc., Reading, as an office manager and receptionist. Cathy cherished her family, friends and pets, travel vacations, gardening, and attending art and cultural activities. She enjoyed sharing stories over dinner with a glass of wine and watching spectacular sunsets from her back yard.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Cathy’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 5 to 8 p.m. at B2 Bistro in West Reading, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
