Michael Spangler Obituary

Michael A. Spangler, 80, of Reading passed away Thursday, May 22nd, at Tower Health Reading Hospital, West Reading. Michael was born in Reading on December 18, 1944, a son of the late Frances V. (Wenrich) Spangler and Wilmer A. Spangler.

He was an Elementary School Teacher for the Philadelphia Public School District.

Michael is survived his daughter, Cheryl Y. Armstrong, of Glen Allen, Virginia and two grandchildren, Loyal Grimes and Laya Grimes and brother in law. Benedict Renkus. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Spangler.

Relatives and friends may call at Feeney Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 9 AM to 10 AM.  A prayer service will follow at 10 AM. Interment follows at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
