Maureen G. (Moore) Makosch
Maureen G. Makosch, 84, of Kenhorst, passed away Tuesday May 21st, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading , while in the Company of family members.
Maureen was born in Reading on June 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Rosalie C. (Stelma) and Thomas P. Moore and was the wife of Joachim Makosch. They were married for 64 years.
She was a 1957 graduate of St. Peters High School, Reading and worked as a operator at Bell Telephone and later as domestic engineer for her family.
Maureen is survived by three daughters, Mary Jo, wife of Willard Smith, of Mohrsville; Judith A., wife of Michael Reilly, of Kenhorst; Nancy R., wife of James Shoemaker, of Reading; two sons Daniel P., husband of Cathy Makosch, of Mohnton; Edward T. Makosch, of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Thomas Moore.
She was a member of the former Sweet Adelines and the past president of the First Catholic Slovak Womens Association in 1975.
Friends and relatives are invited gather at Feeney Funeral home Tuesday, May 28th from 10:00 - 10:30 AM for the 10:30 AM funeral procession to Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, for a Graveside services at 11 AM.
