Mary R. (Powers) Powers Obituary

Mary Powers, 63, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, August 30th, at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. 

Mary was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania on August 8, 1959, a daughter of the late Mary A. (Cox) and Arthur J. Powers. She was the widow of Robert Blane.

She was employed as an Editing Supervisor at Kantar Media for seven years. She also worked in other clerical and supervisory positions. 

Mary was a dressage equestrienne. She also loved cats, music, and the theatre, and also played piano and guitar.  Mary was an avid reader. 

Mary is survived by a sister, Elizabeth (Powers), wife of Paul Gillis of Reading and by a niece Emily (Gillis) wife of Peter Yaskowski of Oreland, PA and nephew Michael Gillis, husband of Josey of Reading, along with great-nieces Kahlan and Devon and a great-nephew Logan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Animal Rescue League PO Box 69 Mohnton, PA 19540. 

Burial will be in the Highlands of Scotland.
