Margaret (Peggy) Reber Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) T. Reber, 91, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Friday, July 7th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. 


Peggy was born in West Reading, PA on June 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Margaret (Rearden) and Clarence Blankenbiller. She was the widow of B. Franklin Reber Jr. who predeceased her in 2012.

She attended West Reading High School, and later worked as a Secretary at Orthopedic Association of Reading.

Peggy enjoyed many hobbies, including painting, crafts and reading.

She also enjoyed the RV lifestyle and the adventure of traveling throughout the United States. Peggy and her late husband also enjoyed serving the Lord by working with the Sowers Ministry along the way.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Ave, Reading, PA 19611, where a Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 11am. Family will receive guests starting at 10:30am.

Peggy is survived by a sister Geri Crowley of Cincinnati, OH, a daughter, Deborrah, wife of Christopher Phillips of Chalfont, PA and a son, Robert W. Palmer, Jr. husband of Annette Palmer, of Spring City, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a very dear friend, Harrison Carey.


She was also predeceased by a son Jeffrey S. Palmer, a daughter Kathleen A. Yost, wife of Blaine Yost, a brother, Richard Blankenbiller, husband of Pat Blankenbiller, and sisters Kathrine and Anna Blankenbiller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Calvary Baptist Church.

A private interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
