Lee F. Davis Obituary

Lee F. Davis, Sr., 89, formerly of Moss St., Reading, passed away Tuesday, October 11th, at Berks Heim Nursing Home. 

Lee was born in Reading on September 24, 1933, a son of the late Ruth (Laity) and Edward Davis and was the husband of 49 years of Mary M. (Koch) Davis, of Bern Twp.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a A/1C from 1952 to 1956 and worked as an upholsterer for Barta Bus Service, Conrail and Amtrak until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading and was a member of various Street Rod clubs.

Lee is survived by his three daughters, Monica L., wife of Keith Hughes, of Mechanicsville, MD; Andrea, wife of Mark Coccia, of Reading; Tina, wife of Geoff Ellis, of Port Orange, FL; son, Lee F. Davis, Jr, husband of Joann, of Exeter; sister, Sue Waldman and brother, Dale Davis, of Reading. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Debbie Davis and brothers, Gene and Clair Davis.

Viewing will be Friday, October 14th from 9 AM to 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will follow at 10 AM. Interment with military honors at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Making a Difference, 2412 Spring St., West Lawn, PA 19609.
