Joyce Mummert Obituary

Joyce Mummert, 72, of Birdsboro, passed away Friday, September 22nd, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.

Joyce was born in Philadelphia on April 8, 1951. She was the wife of Alfred Mummert, of Birdsboro who survives her.

She was employed as an Activities Aide for the Boyertown School District for 8 years and was a Violin Concert Mistress for the Philadelphia Orchestra.

In addition to her husband, Alfred, Joyce is survived by her son, Samuel Fareri husband of Christin, of Birdsboro; son, William DeStefano, husband of Kathryn, of Aston, PA and step daughter, Donna Mummert, of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at John P. Feeney Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on October 5th, 2023, followed by the funeral procession at 1:30 PM to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 3 PM on October 5th, 2023. Arrangements entrusted to John P. Feeney Funeral Home, Inc. 625 N. 4th Street at Centre Ave., Reading, PA 19601, 610-372-4160.
