John F. Balatincz, Jr. Obituary

John F. Balatincz, Jr., 86, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, September 12th, at Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sinking Spring.
John was born in Allentown on October 1, 1936, a son of the late Veronica (Silnik) and John F. Balatincz, Sr.

He was the husband of Shirley Ann (Wasco) Balatincz of Reading. He was predeceased by his first wife, Delores (Yearger) Balatincz. He was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Church, Orefield, and attended St. Catharine of Sienna RC Church, Mt. Penn. John was a 1953 graduate of Allentown High School and was employed as a Supervisor at various nuclear plants, retiring in 2001.

John is survived by his daughter, Christine Spencer, of Ohio; four sons, John Balatincz, husband of Cynthia, of Middleburg; Anthony Balatincz, of Northumberland; Earnest Balatincz, husband of Kathleen, of Middleburg; David Balatincz, husband of Paula, of Laxachee, FL; six stepdaughters, Diana, wife of Michael Vavreck, of Shillington; Susan Knappenberger, of Alburtis; Renee, wife of Wayne Evans, of Bethlehem; Kathleen, wife of William Wenz, of Breinigsville; Stacy Schnellman, of Alburtis and Christine Seaman, of Florida. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 9 great, great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Balatincz.

Viewing will be Monday, September 18th, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph The Worker Church,1879 Applewood Dr, Orefield, PA 18069. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
