Joan Gnau Obituary

Joan A. Gnau, 85, of Reading, passed away Monday, December 4th, in her home surrounded by her loved ones and aided by the wonderful people at Heartland Hospice. 
Joan was born in Myerstown on June 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Laverne (Douglas) and John G. Cook and was the widow of Harold E. Gnau, Jr., who passed in 2011.
She was a 1956 graduate of Reading High School and worked as a daycare teacher at Reading Hospital for 23 years retiring 2012. 

Joan is also survived by her three daughters, Donna L. Kerper, of Braselton, GA; Darlene L., wife of Jeff Slusser, of Catawissa, PA; and Deborah J., wife of Justin Riddle, of Mohnton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Denise K. Jalbert, sisters, Jonell Brown, Judy Kovalik, Jolinda Cook and brother, John Cook.
Viewing will be Thursday, December 14th from 6 PM to 8 PM and Friday, December 15th from 9 AM to 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious Service will be at 10 AM on Friday, December 15th at the funeral home. Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp.
