Janet G. Nanna, 85, of Ebensburg, PA, passed away Saturday, October 12th, at Reading Hospital Tower Health, West Reading.
Janet was born in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania on January 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Agatha (Gore) and Edward Simmons. She was the widow of Lawrence Nanna.
She was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, Johnstown and was the piano and organ player of the church for 35 years. In her lifetime, she led the music and played piano and organ in church for over 65 years. She was employed as a LPN at Laurel Crest Manor for over 20 years retiring in 2000.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Susan R, wife of Ken Fetterman, of South Fork, PA; four sons, Chris A. Nanna, husband of Leslie, of Fredericksburg, VA; Lawrence E. Nanna, husband of Glenda, of Columbia, SC; Bradley K. Nanna, husband of Donna, of Sarasota, FL; Craig A. Nanna, husband of Tracie, of Temple, PA; sister, Elaine, wife of Tom Boring, of Johnstown, PA; brother, Doug Simmons, widower of Tammy, of Johnstown, PA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Williams and brother, Ed Simmons.
Religious service will be Friday, October 18th at 10:30 AM at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Rd, Johnstown, PA 15904. Interment is private at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
