Jane C. Crummett, 91, of Muhlenberg Twp., Pa., passed away Sunday, January 28th, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
The beloved wife of 70 years of the late Major Richard M. Crummett. Jane was born in Reading, Pa., on January 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Stella (Wilatowski) and Ignatius Wolan.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Laureldale, and the Polish National Pinji Social Club.
She was employed as a supervisor at Western Electric Reading, Pa., for 24 years, retiring in 1973, also serving as a union steward.
Jane was the loving and devoted mother of Cheryl Lynn Crummett and Susan Jane Bowman, both of West Reading, and James Brian, husband of Clara Crummett, of Condon, Ore.; proud grandmother of Nicole Lynn Brietegam, of Lancaster; Alexandra Margaret Jane Bowman, of Seattle, Wash.; Stephanie Massay, of Anchorage, Ala.; and James Richard Crummett, of Safety Harbor, Fla.; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Morgan Crummett, of Safety Harbor, Fla.
Jane was preceded in death by four siblings.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31st, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home, 625 N. 4th St., Reading.
A Prayer service will be held on Thursday, February 1st, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of St. George, Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, Pa. Entombment will immediately follow.
