James H. Kready, Jr., 76, of West Reading, passed away Friday, January 4th, at his residence.

James was born in Ephrata on June 12, 1942, a son of the late Miriam (Wonder) and James H. Kready, Sr. and was the husband of 21 years of Kathryn "Kitty" L. (Oudinot) Kready, of West Reading.

He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Reading and was a member of the Teamsters working in sales and deliveries. He enjoyed playing cards and golf and was an avid Eagles fan. James loved to travel and spend time with his family.

James is survived by two daughters, Tracey Becker, of Ephrata, Barbara L. Moyer, of Reading, three sons, James H. Kready, III, of Mohnton, David J. Kantner, of Sinking Spring, Stephen J. Kantner, of Kenhorst and brother, Phil Kready, of Montserrat. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Christopher, Connie Mae, Kory, Jamie, Virginia, Spencer, Hudson, Madeline, Kyle, Jessica, Allison, Kaitlin, Erik and 3 great grandchildren, Kyrah, Kaydace and Wren.

A celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 11 AM at Christ Lutheran Church.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 1301 Luzerne St., Reading, PA 19601.
