Georgeanne "Peanut" (Hohl) Rothenberger Obituary

Georgeanne Rothenberger, 83, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Sunday, September 11th, at Berks Heim Nursing Home, Bern Township. Georgeanne was born in Reading on December 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Anna (Cook) Hohl; and George Hohl, Sr. She has one surviving sister, Jane Wummer, and is predeceased by her brother, George Hohl, Jr. and sister, Sister Mary Cabrini Hohl. She was the wife for 65 years of Richard Rothenberger, Sr. who survives her. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Laureldale. She worked as a Medical Assistant at Commonwealth Orthopedic for 13 years and Donna DiJinio, DDS, retiring in 2001. She previously worked for Dr. Henry Miller. Peanut loved bingo, going to casinos, playing poker with beloved friends, and rub-off lottery tickets, but she especially loved cooking Sunday meals for her family. Family meant everything to Peanut.

Peanut touched so many lives and everyone that met her will never forget her sense of humor and the tremendous amount of love she gave. We are all blessed for having known her and having her in our life.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Georgeanne is survived by two daughters, Beth Youse, of Laureldale, and Christine, wife of Khanh Nguyen, of Reading. Along with two sons, Richard Rothenberger, Jr., husband of Diane of Leesport and Mark S. Rothenberger of Reading. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Carly (Rothenberger) wife of Dan Weyandt, Allie Rothenberger, Amy M. Youse, Jenna L. (Youse) wife of Vaughn Ragsdale, Ian Nguyen, husband of Sarah (Wagner) and Noah R. Nguyen fiancé of Brooke Schlott; 3 great grandchildren, Olive and Hazel Weyandt, and Sophia Nguyen.
