Frederick W. Hotzman, Jr., 90, of Reading, passed away Monday, November 28th, at Reading Hospital. Frederick was born in Reading, PA, on November 19, 1932, a son of the late Frederick W. Sr., and Beatrice I. (Mervine) Hotzman. He was the husband of Helma (Gierl) Hotzman, who died in 2013. They were married for 69 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mt. Penn, PA. He served 20 years in the United States Army, stationed in the U.S., Germany, and Korea, and served with the 11th Armored Calvary Unit in Vietnam, retiring in 1969 as a 1SG (E8). Later he was employed as an Automation Specialist at Molly Fasteners, Temple, PA, for 25 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Reading Liederkranz and the Masonic Blue Lodge Teutonia #367. Frederick is survived by a brother, Gerald C. Hotzman, husband of Janet, and two sons, Walter G. Hotzman, husband of Rachelle (Boyer) Hotzman, of Reading, and Steven B. Hotzman, husband of Korinne (Wierzbicki) Hotzman, of Fleetwood. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Brad, Jamie, Frederick Andrew, Riley, and Katelyn. Also three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Mason, and Cheyenne. He was predeceased by a son, Dr. Frederick W. Hotzman, III, husband of Linda (Fie) Hotzman, in June of 2002. He was also predeceased by a sister, Marilyn (Hotzman) Streeter, and two brothers, Russell M. Hotzman and Bruce S. Hotzman. Friends are invited to call on Monday, December 5th, from 10 to 12 noon at John P. Feeney Funeral Home. A Masonic Service at 11:45 a.m. and a religious service starting at 12 noon with Pastor Denise Keltz officiating. Interment with full U.S. Army honors and Topton Legion Honor Guard follows at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, PA, at 1 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to John P.
