Elsa Rankin Obituary

Elsa M. Rankin, 82, of Harrisburg, N.C., formerly of Flemington, N.J., passed away on Saturday, June 30th, at University Hospital, Charlotte, N.C.

Elsa was born in Reading, Pa., on May 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Katie (Wagner) and Alfred Soltau. She was the widow of Philip H. Rankin who predeceased her in 1999.

A graduate of Wilson High School, Class of 1954, she was a former member of Flemington Presbyterian Church prior to moving to North Carolina.

Elsa was employed as an office manager at Financial Assist Services in Flemington, N.J., retiring in November of 2005.

Elsa is survived by three daughters: Susan (Rankin), wife of Robert Hays, of Abingdon, Md.; Kimberly (Rankin), wife of Dale Pisarcik, of Harrisburg, N.C.; Cheryl (Rankin), wife of Paul DuBon, of Harrisburg, N.C. Elsa is also survived by a brother, Robert Soltau, of Wyomissing, Pa.; and by 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth Hays, Gregory Hays, Lauren DuBon, Allison DuBon and Michael Pisarcik.

A Public Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on July 7th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, Pa. A Religious Service will be held at 10 a.m. followed by her interment at Charles Evans Cemetery Reading, Pa.
