Elizabeth J. (Betty) Heckman, 94, of Wyomssing, passed away Thursday, November 9th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
The widow of Richard W. Heckman. who predeceased her in 2007, Betty was born in Reading, on April 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Lillian (Feyl) and Lester Kissinger.
She graduated from Wilson High School and then earned her RN Degree from Reading Hospital School of Nursing
She worked as a Registered Nurse at Reading Hospital. She also worked for Berks County Visiting Nurse, the Hawthone Home and later she retired from Berks Heim in 1988. She was a proud member of the Reading Hospital Alumni Association.
Elizabeth is also survived by two daughters, Jane E., wife of Michael Sulouff, of South Bend Indiana. Anne L. Dietrich, wife of Stanley Dietrich of Hamburg, PA; and a son,Glenn R. Heckman, of Wyomissing, PA, a brother, John Kissinger, of Bern Township. and by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Heckman on October 4th, 2017.

Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery East Hanover Township with her husband on Wednesday, November 15 at 2 PM Friends may gather at the funeral home from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Procession will leave funeral home at 12:45 PM
