Elizabeth Berringer, 90, of Reading, passed away Friday, September 23rd, at ProMedica Health Services, Sinking Spring.
Elizabeth was born in Hungary on May 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Teresa (Sprau) and George Schaeffer and was the widow of Warren E. Berringer.
Elizabeth worked as a seamstress at Berkshire Knitting Mill, Reading for 13 years. She was a former member of Spring Valley Church of God and the Reading Liederkranz. She loved gardening and knitting. She knitted hundreds of slippers for everyone and loved to cook for her family and others.
Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen Trice, of Reading; Erika S., widow of Richard Bainbridge, of Reading; Eva A., wife of Ervin Williams, of Fayetteville, NC; son, Lawrence A. Berringer, husband of Carla, of Reading; sister, Katilin, wife of Lazlo Vida, of Reading. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Zoltan, Peter, Karolina, Eliza, Justin, Stuart, Taylor, Eenan, Lucas and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Istvan Peterdi.
Viewing will be Sunday October 2nd from 5 to 7 PM and Monday, October 3rd from 10 to 11 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious Service will follow Monday, October 3rd at 11AM. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
