US Air Force - Vietnam- Desert Storm
Edward A Ray, 82, of Blandon, PA, passed away at 12:02 p.m.
Thursday, March 29th, at St. Joseph Medical Center, while in the company of his wife, Faye.
Edward was born in Reading, a son of the late Anna (Sqiles) and Bert Ray. He was the husband of Faye J. (Hertzog) Ray who survives him.
A graduate of Reading High School, class of 1955. he served in the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant in the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves in 1992..
Edward was a welder at Molly Fasteners for 20 years Retiring in 1978. He also worked as a Shipping Supervisor for R.M. Palmer Candies for 15 years.
In addition to his wife, Faye, Edward is survived by a step daughter, Brenda F., wife of Clyde Dietrich, of Blandon, PA; and a step son,Kenneth C., husband of Beth Yoder, of Douglasville, PA. and by 4 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miller-Keystone Blood Center 2745 Leisz's Bridge Road Reading, PA 19605.
Internment with full military honors will be private at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
