Edward S. Anderton

US Navy - Korean War


Edward S. Anderton, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Friday, October 19th, at St. Joseph Medical Center in the company of his daughters.


Born in Reading, PA on November 14, 1932,  he was a son of the late Hannah (Smedley) and Jonathan Anderton.


Edward graduated from Reading High School Class of 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War and worked as a laborer at Carpenter, retiring in 1987. 


Edward is survived by two daughters, Peggy Ann Hamm, of Orwigsburg, PA and Lee Ann Anderton, of Schuykill Haven, PA. Edward is also survived by two sisters,:Patricia A., widow of Donald Shuker, of Linden, WA; Margaret Falatovich, and two grandchildren: Angela Nicole Schaeffer and Scott Raymond Seiders.
