Eddie Nelson Alers, 71, of Reading, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 10th, at Berks Heim Nursing Home, Leesport. Eddie was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on July 21, 1945, a son of the late Gloria Barreto and Serafin Alers. He was the husband of Anselma (Rosa) Alers.
Eddie is survived by his wife, three daughters: Judy, of Laureldale, PA; Lissette, of Shillington, PA; and Emily, of NJ; and two sons Eddie N., of Temple, PA; Nelson, of NJ. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday, May 13 from 2pm-4pm at John P. Feeney Funeral Home, Reading, PA. Burial will be at Charles Evans Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
