Donald C. Kriebel, Jr., 89, of Reading, passed away Wednesday, November 28th, at his residence.
Donald was born in Chester, PA on July 27, 1929, a son of the late Edith (Harvey) and Donald C. Kriebel, Sr. and was the husband of Joan M. (Eckert) Kriebel, of Reading.
He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the Korean War from 1951 to 1956 and then worked as a boiler maker and welder at Reading Railroad and Conrail Reading, for 30 years until retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Catharine of Sienna R.C. Church.
Donald is survived by three daughters, Donna M., wife of David Doney, of Pacifica, CA; Mary C., wife of David Menet, of Birdsboro; Noel M., wife of Rodney Christman, of Oley; two sons, Robert C., husband of Dawn Kriebel, of Leesport, Joseph F. Kriebel, of Reading and brother, Dennis, husband of Stephanie Kriebel, of Mohnton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Heather, Holly, Sarah, Christopher, Timothy, Alexandra, Kaitlyn, Camille, Bailee, Peyton, Taylor and eleven great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Dean Kriebel and sister, Dorothy Samuels.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 5th at Gethsemane Chapel of the Resurrection, Laureldale. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery.
