David Lee (Dave) Tarbell
David Lee (Dave) Tarbell, 76, of Dover, York County, PA passed away Friday, April 8th, at Promedica Health Center, York.
David was born in Tarentum, PA on July 21, 1945, a son of the late Marjory E (Mann) and Leroy M Tarbell.
He was the husband of Deborah S (Carbaugh) Tarbell, who survives him. They were married 21 years.
He served in the PA National Guard for 22 years mostly with Company C, 1/11th Infantry as a Staff Sergeant Squad Leader. He was deployed to Kosovo with his unit in 2003 and retired in 2004. In the late 1990's he was deployed to Germany with other Infantrymen from Charlie Company to take part in a famous long march between two Germany towns to reenact a famous World War II march by allied Forces.
David is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Tarbell Wallitsch and a son Christian Tarbell. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and a sister, Debrah Tarbell-O'brien, of Hummelstown. PA.
Services are private at the convenience of family. A gathering of friends will be announced later in the summer.
