Cory Clay Obituary
Cory A. "Captain Moose, aka, Cassius" Clay, 63, of Oley, passed away Friday, November 8th, after losing his battle with cancer. Born in Reading on December 4, 1955, a son of the late Mary Ellen L. (Bechtel) and William C. Clay. He was the husband of Kathleen R. (Wright) Clay of 40 years. Cory lived and died with Cresians pride.
Formally employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber for 7 years. Being a natural leader he later worked in the paper industry for 37 years where he achieved his goals in upper management in which he took great pride.
Cory enjoyed his family, friends, visits to the beach, nature and wine making. He had a desire to help others and passion for fixing and building everything. He had a love for Christmas, The Hallmark Channel and appreciated that children believed he was the real, "Santa!"
Predeceased by brother, Garth "Buzzy" Clay and son, Casey M. Clay. Survived by daughter, Katie S. (Clay) Bell, wife of Josh Bell, and granddaughters, Cecilia, Emily, Ariel, Evelynn, Ivy and MaryAlice and nieces and nephews.
Moose was a member of Pikesville Sportman's Association, Stoney Creek Athletic Association and a life member of Lower Alsace Beneficial Association.
Corey's family sincerely thanks all of you that joined Moose in celebrating his life October 12th this year.
