Conception (Connie) Alicea 

Conception Alicea , 73, of Reading, passed away Friday, July 20th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. 

Connie was born in New York City on June 14, 1945, a daughter of the late Rosario (Medina) and Alipio L. Alicea.

She was the companion of Jose L. Nieves for 54 years.

She worked as a sales associate in various departments at Walmart, Wyomissing for 24 years. She also assisted at other Walmart stores in setting up floor displays. 

Connie is survived by a daughter, Melissa Nieves, wife of David Garcia, of Reading, three sons: Joseph, husband of Anna Alicea, of Sinking Spring; Luis A. Nieves, husband of Elsie, of Reading; and Steven Nieves, of Reading.

She is also survived by three sisters: Maria Santisban, of Glen Falls, NY; Sonia Alicea, of Middletown, NY; Lourdes Carreras, of Orlando, FL.

She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, Michele, David, America, Danion and Julius and one great grandson Josiah Garcia

She loved and was loved by her family, nieces and nephews, cousins her work associates and her many friends. She will be dearly missed.

Public Viewing will be held form 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 27th and Saturday from 9-10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. A Religious Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 28th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA. Interment will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery Reading, PA.
