Carole H. (Holland) Lotz, 79, of Reading, passed away peacefully in her residence on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Carole was born in Reading, PA on October 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Florence (Leibrock) and John J. Holland.
She was the loving wife of Carl J. Lotz, who survives her. They would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on May 18th.
A member of St. Joseph RC Church Reading, PA, Carole graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1962 and was employed as a Secretary at St. Joseph RC Church for many years.
Carole loved her church and her family. She loved vacationing in Stone Harbor and enjoyed watching basketball and doing word searches. Her smile would light up a room.
In addition to her husband, Carl, Carole is survived by two daughters, Brenda, wife of Stephen Swankoski and Jennifer M. Lotz, both of Reading, PA. Carole is also survived by a sister, Joanne, widow of Theodore Curtin, of Westminster, MA; and a sister-in-law Sharon Holland widow of Robert Holland, of Reading, PA. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews and Jordan, a grand-cat. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Charles and Robert Holland.
A public viewing will be held from 9 AM to 10 AM on Friday, May 24th at St. Joseph RC Church, 1018 N 8th Street Reading, PA. Her Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Joseph RC Church - Roof Maintenance Fund, 1018 N. 8th Street Reading, PA 19604.
