Carmello J. D'Amico, age 76 years, of Reading, passed away Thursday, March 31st, at Weatherwood Nursing Home & Rehabilitation, Weatherly, Carbon County. Carmello was born in Reading on January 1, 1940, a son of the late Filomena (Botch) D'Amico and Carmello J. D'Amico Sr., and was the husband of Marie Anne (Grundowski) D'Amico of Reading.
Carl served in the U.S. Army as a Sp4 and was motivated by hard work and a lifelong love of learning.
He was a realtor, paralegal, sewage enforcement officer, septic system designer and a member of the Pennsylvania Builders Association.
In addition to his wife, Marie, Carl is survived by 3 daughters: Alvina D'Amico of Reading; Carlyn D'Amico of Reading; and Alicia, wife of Mark Steffy, of Ephrata; a son, Dean, husband of Marisa, of Irvine, CA; a sister, Velma, widow of Bill Kline, of DE; and 2 brothers, Michael D'Amico, husband of Helen, of SC, and Joseph D'Amico, husband of Cheryl, of FL. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Julianne Bonifacio, Timothy Sheaffer Jr., Allen Steffy, Brandon D'Amico; four great-grandchildren: Isabella and Alyssa Bonifacio; and Ethan and Reece Sheaffer.
Friends and relatives are invited to call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home, Inc.
Religious service will follow at 11 a.m.
Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors.
