Anthony Flack Obituary
Anthony Leigh Flack, 81, of Fleetwood, PA passed away Sunday, January 11th at home having finally exhausted the last of his nine lives. Tony had numerous medical events and health issues over his lifetime from which he seemingly bounced back unscathed. Alas: the inevitable arrived.
According to Tony, he was born on a bridge leading to Atlantic City in September, 1944, to the late Charles Flack and Emily [Wasick] Flack. His birth certificate suggests such a thing. Who are we to say otherwise?
Tony grew up in the Norristown/Plymouth Meeting area and graduated from Bishop Kenrick high school. After graduation, he enrolled in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War era at bases in Biloxi and Newfoundland.
Tony parlayed his electronics training from the Air Force to employment at numerous companies. Later in life, he obtained his degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Penn State University which culminated in his proudest achievement, working in a clean room producing silicon chips at Lucent/Agere Technologies in Breinigsville, PA.
Throughout his life, Tony was guardian to numerous cats and dogs, worked with thoroughbred horses at a breeding facility and explored a veterinary technician career. His current animal companions, Yahtzee, the cat, and Gracie, the dog, remained at his bedside in the last days of his life.
Tony is survived by his wife, Beth, her immediate family, and their spouses/partners who graciously accepted Tony and his ever-present cigar.
The family thanks all those Friends of Bill who supported Tony through his life and who allowed Tony to support them. Without you, he would not have made it this far.
In keeping with Tony’s wishes, services will be private.
