Amelia “Millie” Rose Taddeo

Amelia “Millie” Rose Taddeo, 92, of Reading, on Commons Court, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27th, at her residence.
Amelia was born in Reading on August 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Angelina (Crimaldi) and Antonio Spinnato. She married the late Angelo Joseph Taddeo on April 15th, 1950, and they were married 40 years and share 5 children. For 31 years, she was the companion of George W. Goodman of Reading, formerly of Pottsville.
Amelia was a member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Reading and worked as a CNA at West Reading Manor Care retiring in 1998. She loved music, dancing, cooking, and spending time with her many friends and large family. She loved to play bingo and take trips to the casino. She also enjoyed her time with friends at diners where she would lunch daily prior to her illness. She loved her time in Chesapeake Beach where she lived for many years in the 1960s. Most of all, she loved her family.
Amelia is survived by her three daughters, Donna Marie Schaeffer, wife of Michael, of Reading; Jeanette Laspopoulos, widow of Peter, of Reading; Margaret DeAntonio, wife of James, of Kenhorst; two sons, Nicholas Taddeo, husband of Sandy, of Palmyra; and Angelo Joseph Taddeo, husband of Denise, of Wernersville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, who lovingly refer to her as “Mommom”: Michael Schaeffer, husband of Wendi of Reading; Michelle Perate, wife of John of Reading; Tiffany Baird, wife of Steve of Pittsburgh; Kristy Natole, wife of Jeremy of Reading; Erica Fullam, wife of Brendan of Havertown; Tessa Loyd, wife of Kevin of Gilbert, AZ; Kaitlyn Fogleman, wife of John of Hummelstown; Marissa Williams, wife of Brad of Philadelphia; Thomas Natole, husband of Ericka of Philadelphia; Morgan Gutshall , wife of Ryan of New York : Dillon Deantonio, husband of Chelsea of Pennsylvania and Bryant East, Husband of Taylor of Pennsylvania. There are 20 great-grandchildren: Rocco, Dominic, Gianna, Jessica, Stephanie, Trey, Mason, Lexi, Teagan, Mia, Amelia, Cameron, Grayson, Esme, Archer, Remy, and Josephina, Kelly, Logan, and Camden. Lastly, there are 4 great-great-grandchildren: Mason, Jace, Julius, and Theo.

She will be remembered in the fondest way for her infectious laugh and love for her family, who will miss her greatly.
